Resort police seize four hundred fake IDs
Police and merchants have confiscated more than four hundred fake ID cards from under-age drinkers in a holiday resort in less than a month.
The seizures came as a whole bunch of public colleges students descended on Polzeath for an early summer vacation before the state school time period ended.
Locals have complained of rowdy seashore parties, noise, drunkenness, and vandalism involving as much as 500 people.
However police said a number of the complaints were being “blown out of proportion”.

However Polzeath resident Tess Smith said the issue was worse than last year.
“There have been a thousand kids on the seashore on one evening, screaming, chanting and urinating.
“There was an horrendous quantity of noise till three in the morning.
“It was complete anarchy. They may do exactly what they wished as a result of there have been only 4 policemen there.”
One under-age youngster, among a group drinking and smoking cannabis on the seashore, said alcohol was straightforward to get.
“Some serve you under age. If you have fake ID they will serve you anything.”
Police rejected the accusation, saying retailers were seizing about forty fake IDs a day.
4 hundred pretend cards have been recovered from youngsters for the reason that beginning of July.
However Sgt Robin Moorcroft, who is answerable for the police operations in Polzeath, said the issue had now subsided.
